Another option is to park on PCH and walk or ride your bike down to the cove. The Walk-in entrance is free. Of course, you could always buy a trailer in the cove or purchase one of the nearby houses, but that will cost a lot more than the parking fee.
Paradise Cove Beach is a tiny, public/private beach tucked beneath the cliffs of Malibu. It's mostly under the auspices of the Paradise Cove Beach Café, who provide all the amenities, but you can access the beach for free if you want to swim or surf.

Hawaiian attire is always the way to go, which usually includes muumuu dresses, skirts, leis (which you'll get as you enter most Maui luaus), aloha shirts, shorts, and slippahs (or flip-flops). Any of these choices represents the islands well!
Public parking at Paradise Cove Public Beach itself is very limited, 13 parking spots + 2 ADA spots, if I recall correctly. You pull into the Paradise Cove Luau parking lot, drive past the Luau parking (don't try to park in Luau spots!!!), and it's marked public parking.
